The word that sums up this week is: boundaries. Was a tough week with my client and external partners taking advantage. That plus end of the UK financial year… A top moment for me was working outside on Saturday. Something cleansing about physical labour after a week of long hours at the desk!
- 🧠 Understanding: The need for establishing some tighter boundaries at work, and intentionally upping my ‘grumpiness factor’ 😡. (And don’t dunk Aero bars in tea.)
- 🧶 Creating & cultivating: A plastic splashback for our kitchen bins. No fewer than two power tools involved 🪚!
- 📺 Consuming: Having fun on Neocities. The 📺 IT Crowd. Walk me out in the morning dew 🎶.
- 🔆 Connecting: Drink with a mate 🍻 and air guitar with my 7 yr old to The Good, the bad and the ugly.
- 🏹 One thing for future self: It’s ok to be grumpy at work sometimes rather than try to get people to like me.
- 💖 Something I’m looking forward to next week: A new job title: I’m surprised how excited I am about that.
