2026-w07 eye-opening
The word that sums up this week is: eye-opening. A top moment for me was going to a wildlife park with the family: seeing a charging rhino and the size of lions running around was awesome. I also felt privileged to be included in my wider groupās strategic āboardā meeting at work: I felt super junior but also loved seeing behind the curtain. A challenge from my sponsor this week is: who are my people? To be honest, I am not sure how to answer that questionāI certainly donāt feel that at Church at the moment. Something Iām looking forward to next week is getting well into Wheel of Time book 8.
Random thought: the UK National Hydration & Wellness Survey 2025 found that over half of Britons are chronically dehydrated.

Understanding. Itās not the volume of email that is the issue, itās how I use it as a distraction from the more important, but also more unsettling āI donāt know what to doā sort of work. A bit about interstitial journalling: I might give it a go.
Creating & cultivating. A new template for tracking delegations / things I talk about with my team leads:
- šļø: fire and forget. I inform, they take it on.
- š¤ : my leads own this, but I will check in or chase.
- šµ: I own this and want to inform them.
Consuming. Loads of nuts for some reason this week. Some āstudy with meā pomodoro vids like this one: Youtube link.
Connecting. With my wife a little, sadly my Valentineās gift didnāt arrive in time, but weāre pretty relaxed about that sort of thing.

For my future self: 3 priorities for the week to move towards the milestones
