The word that sums up this week is: unexpected: unexpectedly working from looking after an ill child, a serendipitous family outing on Sunday 🪴 🌲 and losing my phone. A top moment for me was reading Essentialism in front of the fire on a rainy day after hosting a meal. Something I’m looking forward to next week is a bit of quiet space to myself while on work trips: though I will get lonely and miss my family.

🧠 Understanding: I can rely on my team more than I allow myself to: asking them for advice went really well. That I need to make an effort to schedule in ‘strategic effort’ time or it won’t happen. How addicted I am t0 the quick hit of screen-time 📺.

🔆 Connecting: Had extended family round for a pre-Christmas ✨ gathering. No Christmas tree yet: too much on! Fun playing guitar with my young son.
