expat shame
I keep having imaginary arguments with acquaintances about what’s happening back in the States, in which I can finally let loose about how I really feel. I haven’t been back there in over a decade, but I am finding it difficult to watch, and I feel shame as an expat. I don’t think it’s wise for me to post about politics but I feel so bottled up. I feel the need to have a flaming row with someone, especially in a Church setting (though I know many here would agree with me, and I don’t intend to). I’ve cut way down on news intake anyway this last 12 months.
